Welcome Back! ☺
I am sooo sorry for not posting more, but I have been crazy busy!
I started a new job as a preschool teacher (which I absolutely LOVE, and my oldest son, Luke, is in my class, so I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to teach and watch him grow), so basically, I am now working 2 jobs, and bringing the kiddos along with me along the way!
I am extremely excited to share this AMAZING twist I created to the classic homemade play dough recipe we all know and love!
If you are a mother, you have probably hear of essential oils one time or another. You have probably heard of all of the amazing benefits of scents like Lavender when used in your child’s shampoo, and bedtime lotion to help them wind down & relax before bed. You have probably even tried the baby wash from the store!
But did you know that essential oils ARE SO MUCH MORE?
Well they are!
And there are so many other beneficial oils you can use besides just Lavender to promote over all health in your children (and your family)! You can use essential oils in so many different ways throughout your home as well! I am absolutely in love with them, specifically Young Living Essential Oils, and the effect they have had on our family’s overall health and happiness.
*This post is NOT Sponsored, or influenced by Young Living and is 100% my own experiences and opinions.
I found the original play dough recipe HERE. And then tweaked it, and am SO excited to share it with you!
Quiet Time Play Dough Recipe:
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tablespoon cream of tartar (find it in the spice section)
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup water
5-6 drops of Young Living essential oils of your choice!
For this play dough, I doubled the recipe, and split it in to 4 even portions. I mixed in about 5-6 drops of essential oils (below) are the ones I used.
Peace & Calming (does exactly what the name says, LOVE THIS STUFF!), Lavender (to help them relax), Peppermint (for their stuffy noses), Joy (to make them happy).
It is literally AMAZING how long my boys played with this play dough!
I hope your kiddos enjoy it as much as we do!
