SUGAR FREE Whole Wheat Waffle Recipe!

Today, I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes that I make for the boys all the time.

See, I got this AWESOME Mickey Mouse waffle maker for Christmas, and wanted to find a healthier waffle recipe instead of just using a box mix.

I found the most amazing recipe on one of my favorite food blogs, 100 Days of Real Food.

I was so surprised how cute (and DELICIOUS) the waffles actually turned out!

Whole-Wheat Waffles
Serves: 4 – 5
Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ¾ cups milk
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups whole-wheat flour (I used King Arthur’s organic white whole-wheat flour)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

To make it even healthier, and filling, I spread on some peanut butter, and top it with some fruit and honey instead of syrup!

The boys literally go crazy for these! AND lets be honest, so do I! I mean they are easy, delicious, AND healthy! And to make them even better, you can freeze the leftovers, and warm them up for a SUPER easy breakfast throughout the week!
